Escape to Nature

Experience the beauty, comfort and tranquility of the Cederberg

Cedar Escape was created for the love of hospitality, connecting with friends and deep bond with Citrusdal and the surrounding Cederberg mountains. What began as a simple idea has grown into three tucked away sites scattered around the Olifantsriver Valley.

Fully equipped and geared toward camping and outdoor lovers, Cedar Escape truly feels like an escape. A mere two-hour drive from Cape Town, here you’ll be able to slow down, recharge and enjoy stillness. Run, hike or go mountain biking through mountains, orchards and hidden nooks of the beautiful valley. Alternatively, lounge on the riverbanks and cool off in the crisp water of the Olifantsrivier.

Perfect for families, couples or solo travelers looking to step into the outdoors.
