These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, stays, and use of services provided by The Cedar Escape. By making a booking, you agree to the following terms.
1. General
The Cedar Escape provides short-term accommodation and hospitality services. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Eligibility
Guests making a booking must be at least 18 years old.
3. Bookings & Payments
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Pricing is displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
- Full payment or the required deposit must be received to confirm a reservation.
- The Cedar Escape reserves the right to cancel unpaid reservations.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in: From 2:00 PM
- Check-out: By 10:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability.
5. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
- Treat the property and furnishings with care
- Keep noise levels respectful
- Follow all safety instructions and property rules
- Leave the accommodation in a reasonable condition upon departure
Guests are financially responsible for any damages, loss, or excessive cleaning caused during their stay.
6. Maximum Occupancy
Only the number of guests confirmed in the booking may stay at the property unless prior written approval has been granted.
7. Smoking & Illegal Activity
Smoking inside the accommodation is strictly prohibited.
Illegal activities, dangerous behaviour, or disturbances to neighbouring properties will result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
8. Pets
Pets are only permitted where explicitly approved in writing before arrival.
9. Liability Disclaimer
Guests use the property and facilities at their own risk. The Cedar Escape shall not be held liable for:
- Personal injury
- Theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings
- Accidents occurring on the property
- Service interruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control
10. Force Majeure
The Cedar Escape shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to fulfil obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Power outages
- Pandemics
- Civil unrest
11. Privacy
Any personal information collected during bookings or enquiries will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
12. Website Use
All website content, branding, logos, photography, and written material remain the intellectual property of The Cedar Escape and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
